For individuals who have no previous experience or relevant qualifications, who are actively engaged in, considering a career in, or have an active interest in corporate governance, but have yet to demonstrate the competencies and experience required for higher grades.

REQUIREMENTS

To become an Associate Governance Practitioner you must:

1. Complete the registration form
2. Submit the registration fee
3. Ensure you can fulfil the minimum criteria or are eligible for an exemption as outlined below

The minimum criteria for those people who want to apply for the use of post-nominial letters AGP are as follows:

•   Qualification Route – Governance related qualification at degree level and completion of EBM Programme or Central Consultancy and Training's Governance and Compliance Course or equivalent. Or professional qualification such as ACCA or ICSA or FT NED Dipolma.

OR

•   Experience Route – Minimum of 3 years in a governance role and EBM Programme or Central Consultancy and Training's Governance and Compliance Course or equivalent. Or 7 years qualifying experience in a governance role.

CPD

Associates are required to carry out and evidence seven hours of CPD each year.
