Full Member Governance Practitioner – MGP

This entry route is for those professionals who have governance as their main discipline or as the focus of their work. It also applies to professionals in disciplines such as Law, Accounting, and other governance related roles who are seeking to further a career in corporate governance.

For those professionals who have governance as their main discipline or as the focus of their work. It also applies to professionals in disciplines such as Law, Accounting, and other governance related roles who are seeking to further a career in corporate governance. In order to enroll on the Member Governance Practitioner course you must have an academic background or experience which will demonstrate your ability to compete this MGP course.


REQUIREMENTS

To become a Full Member Governance Practitioner you must:

1. Complete the registration form
2. Submit the registration fee
3. Ensure you can fulfill the minimum criteria or are eligible for an exemption as outlined below:


The minimum criteria for those people who want to apply for the use of post-nominal letters MGP are as follows:

 

  • Qualification Route – Governance related qualification at postgraduate or professional level and EBM Programme (Advanced Certificate Course) or, Central Consultancy and Training's Governance and Compliance Course (or equivalent) or qualified Chartered Secretary or FT NED Diploma or IOD Chartered Director.

OR

  • Experience Route – Minimum of 10 years qualifying experience in a governance role and EBM Programme (Advanced Certificate Course) or, Central Consultancy and Training's Governance and Compliance Course (or equivalent).

 


CPD

Members are required to carry out and evidence fourteen hours of relevant CPD each year.
